DOWNTOWN WOMEN'S CENTER LUNCHEON - EVERY SECOND SUNDAY OF THE MONTH
Once month, Mother's Kitchen Los Angeles cooks a healthy vegetarian lunch from scratch and serves it to over 135 homeless women. Every month they get a plateful of Amma's love and grace. Some of the women have met Amma and they say they feel Her when they look at the photo of Amma doing namaskar to everyone. As Amma teaches us compassion, Mother's Kitchen LA does it's best to follow that through seva, a big smile and a healthy plate of food! Thank you Amma for loving us and for having Mother's Kitchen where we are blessed to be able to make a difference with compassion.

Volunteers are welcome!
What should I wear and what do I need to know about handling the food? Wear modest, comfortable clothes that are easily washable with sleeves and closed-toe shoes. Hair needs to be tied back. Before touching food, please wash your hands vigorously for 30 seconds with soap and warm water and then put serving gloves on. We will supply them on site.

Volunteers who would like to prepare food in MACLA kitchen or during Amma's tour need to get a Food Handler Certificate. Cost is about $10
