Amma's Youth Movement
Under Amma's guidance, AYUDH is focused on creating trust and peace by socially engaging youth while maintaining an awareness of core spiritual values. AYUDH stands for Amrita Youth for Unity, Diversity and Harmony; founded in 2001, it is active across Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and Australia, and welcomes participants ages 15 to 30 from all religious, social and cultural backgrounds.
Service in Action
AYUDH LA members join beach cleanups at Santa Monica Beach with Heal the Bay, and partner with Mother's Kitchen on the Blessing Bags project — assembling care packages of toiletries, hygiene products, snacks and a handwritten note of encouragement for unhoused neighbours across Los Angeles. Along the way, members share their experiences, concerns and reflections within a welcoming community of peers.
