IAM-35 Refresher Online & in Person

Join this IAM-35 Refresher on Saturday, May 11, 3:00 – 5:00 pm EDT with MA Center DC. IAM instructors Wendy Steben and Martha Miller will lead the Refresher. You may choose to join either in person or on Zoom—upon registration you will be emailed the Zoom Meeting Link.
The IAM-35 Refresher is for all those who have learned the eight-hour IAM-35 Course. Whether you have learned the technique recently or some time ago, you can deepen your practice or get it back on track with the Refresher. The technique will be reviewed step-by-step and you will also experience a group guided meditation. You may ask questions and clarify your understanding of IAM. Approaches to deepen your commitment to a consistent practice will be offered. Many who have attended the Refreshers have found that they gained a great conceptual and experiential boost to their IAM practice.

What to wear, what to bring: MA Center D.C. is an ashram (spiritual sanctuary), so we kindly request that all attendees dress modestly to maintain the sacred atmosphere of the space. Wear modest comfortable clothing suitable for gentle yoga poses. You may wish to bring a yoga mat and/or blanket, meditation cushion & water bottle. Chairs and course handouts will be provided. Also, if you wish, bring clothing for the outdoors—during breaks you are invited to stroll and soak in the spiritual atmosphere of the ashram grounds.

IAM Guided Meditation Sessions are for IAM graduates who have completed the full IAM Course. The steps of the technique are verbally guided, and there is an opportunity for extended silent meditation together. Guided meditation helps to deepen and support an individual's daily practice, and meditation in a group is beneficial for all who participate. Depending on the session, it is about 30 - 60 minutes. Please contact each instructor/team to register: include your full name, when and where you attended the IAM Course, and the day of the week/time of each session you wish to sign up for.
