About IAM Meditation Technique

The Integrated Amrita Meditation (IAM®) technique is a powerful yet accessible path to finding lasting joy and peace. Developed through Amma's vision for spiritual growth, IAM® is designed to integrate the body, mind, intellect, and heart, helping individuals reconnect with their inner center. The practice weaves together gentle yoga poses with seated meditation, using a combination of movement, breath, sound, and visualization.
Taught by trained volunteers, the IAM technique is offered for free to thousands of people worldwide. Instruction is available during Amma's international tours, her ashram in Amritapuri, at numerous locations throughout the year, and virtually. The technique has been widely adopted by a variety of organizations, with sponsored instruction provided to the Indian Army, Whole Foods, Genentech, and the State University of New York.
Three IAM Meditation Techniques
IAM-35 Meditation: Cultivate lasting peace and joy with the IAM-35 meditation technique. You will receive Amma’s transformative teachings and practical guidance for managing daily worries. The 35-minute practice seamlessly integrates movement, breath, sound, and visualization to help you find inner harmony and deepen your spiritual practice.
IAM-20 Meditation: Experience IAM-20, a unique and secular meditation practice that combines gentle yoga with simple, effective sitting meditation. In just 20 minutes daily, anyone can practice this technique, which is free from religious symbolism.
Youth IAM Meditation: Give young people the tools to navigate a fast-paced world with confidence. Youth IAM meditation helps teens and pre-teens find their inner calm, improve focus, and develop resilience. With programs designed for ages 10–14 and 15–18, Youth IAM can also be a special practice for parents and children to share.
IAM Courses, Refreshers, and Guided Sessions
IAM Courses are designed for beginners or those who haven't practiced IAM meditation for a while. There are three versions of the technique: IAM-20 is a 2-3 hour course, IAM-35 is an 8-hour course, and IAM for Youth is a 1-2 hour course.
Refreshers are for those who have completed our courses. Whether you are new to the practice or returning after some time, these sessions offer a chance to deepen your technique or get back on track. We will review the steps and answer your questions before a guided meditation. Regular attendance is shown to boost practice, both intellectually and experientially.
IAM Guided Sessions are designed for IAM graduates who have completed the full course. Each session includes verbally guided technique practice and extended silent meditation. Guided group meditation can deepen your personal practice and is beneficial for all participants.
