The night of February 14th, 2026, was one to remember at MA Center LA in Redondo Beach, as devotees gathered to celebrate Mahashivaratri in a spirit of love, devotion, and deep spiritual practice. The hall was beautifully decorated, with a divine altar radiating serenity and grace,
setting the perfect tone for a night dedicated to Lord Shiva. The program began at 8:00 PM and continued past midnight, filled with uplifting practices and soulfumoments shared by all. The evening opened with a video narrating the story of Shivaratri, reminding everyone
of its profound symbolism—a time for meditation, self-purification, and awakening to one’s inner light.
Vajraang then inspired everyone by sharing Amma’s words on the significance of Shivaratri,
highlighting how true worship of Lord Shiva lies in dissolving one’s ego and living a life of awareness
and compassion. He also reflected on what these teachings mean in practical, everyday
life—encouraging all to see each moment as an opportunity to remember the Divine.
As the evening deepened, the satsang community came together to chant the Lalitha
Sahasranamam, the 1000 names of the Divine Mother, filling the space with sacred vibrations. The atmosphere was charged with devotion as participants performed the Shiva Linga Abhishekam,
collectively bathing the lingam with milk and water, symbolizing purity, surrender, and gratitude. The chanting of the Lingashtakam and a series of powerful Shiva bhajans carried the gathering intoa meditative and jubilant silence, uniting hearts in the shared rhythm of love for the Divine. The nightconcluded with Arati offered to both Lord Shiva and Amma, symbolism of surrender marking a radiant close to a night of deep spiritual communion.
The well-attended celebration left everyone feeling uplifted and renewed, with a shared commitment
to continue their spiritual practices and support one another on the path. The MA Center LA
community expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate this sacred festival
together—an unforgettable night of devotion, reflection, and joyful unity.
