Pongal Celebrations 2026

MA Center Chicago celebrated Pongal on January 17, 2026, with a day of community and devotion. Amma says that Creator and Creation are not two, but one – the Divine exists in and through all of Creation. Pongal reminds us of this truth, and provides an opportunity for us to express our gratitude to Mother Nature for all her generous gifts. The Pongal satsang included a talk on the significance of Pongal and Mother Nature, archana, bhajans, meditation, and dinner. In keeping with tradiition, we also boiled rice and milk in a pot until it overflowed, symbolizing abundance and prosperity for all.
