Diwali Celebrations at MA Center Chicago

MA Center Chicago celebrated Deepavali, also known as Diwali, with great enthusiasm on November 1st, 2025. Diwali, which means "rows of lamps" signifies the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
The event started with decorating the altar and lighting of the lamps. Devotees set up the Annakut or "mountain of food" by offering a variety of food items/prasad at the altar. The evening programs included Archana, Diwali Talk and Amma’s Diwali Message followed by Special Diwali Bhajans led by AYUDH. The bhajans concluded with Arati, meditation and Prasadam.
The evening concluded with fireworks which is an integral part of the Diwali celebrations.
