Maha Shivaratri Celebration

During Amma's 2016 Shivaratri message, she said, "Shivaratri is a celebration of sacrifice, dispassion and renunciation. Shivaratri teaches us to abandon all other thoughts in contemplation of God, and to realize the ultimate purpose of human life." Join us for a special Shivaratri at MA Center Chicago with Swamini Ambikamrita Prana. The program will include a short Shivaratri talk by Swamini, a participatory abhishekam, chanting, bhajans, meditation, and chai and snack breaks. While the program will formally end at approximately12:15 am, whoever wishes to stay until 5 am is welcome to do so. Here's the planned schedule:
8:00 - 9:15 pm: Archana and Mahisasuramardini Stotram
9:15 - 9:45 pm: Chai and snack break
9:45 - 10:00 pm: Shivaratri talk by Swamini Ambikamrita Prana
10:00- 12:15 am: Puja, chanting, and bhajans
12:15 - 1:00 am: Break/cleanup
1:00 - 2:30 am: Bhajans and chanting
2:30 - 3:45 am: Bhajans
3:45 - 4:00 am: Break
4:00 - 5:00 am: Archana
