Onam & Krishna Jayanthi with Swamini

Amma has said that "Many great souls have taken birth on this earth, but Sri Krishna was a master and guide for all times, places and people.” Join us for our annual Krishna Jayanthi satsang, which will include a Krishna puja, bhajans, and Uri Adi (the breaking of the pot celebration - fun for kids old and young) with Swamini Ambikamrita Prana. This year's Krishna Jayanthi celebration will include Onam festivities (Onam is the colorful harvest festival of Kerala). We hope to see you here!

The schedule for our Onam and Krishna Jayanthi program is as follows (tentative/subject to change):

Morning Program:
10:00AM-12:30PM - Onam Sadhya Cooking (Onam meal preparation)
10:30-12:30PM - Pookalam (Flower arrangement), Krishna altar setup, Krishna feet painting, Painting Uri Adi pots, Uri Adi setup
12:30-12:45PM - Prayer and Lighting of Lamp by Swamini Ambikamrita Prana
12:45-2:00PM - Onam Sadhya (Kerala-style Onam meal)
2:00-4:00PM - Cultural program in front of Green Works (Musical chair for kids, tug of war, Thiruvathira dance)

Evening Program:
4:00-5:00PM - Archana (devotional chanting)
5:00-6:30PM - Krishna Puja, Krishna Bhajans, Krishna Ashtotaram and Krishna Arati
6:30-7:15PM - Procession & Uri Adi
7:15-7:30PM- Amma Arati and Short Meditation
7:30PM - Prasadam and Light Dinner
