A senior renunciate disciple of our beloved Amma, Swami Purnamritananda Puri is the General Secretary of Mata Amritanandamayi Math. For the past 30 years, he has been relentlessly engaged in the very noble spiritual and humanitarian activities of the Math that Amma envisioned and initiated.

An Engineering graduate, Swamiji had been Research Scientist with the prestigious Raman Research Institute, Bangalore. Swamiji first met Amma while on his quest for the secret of life. Amma’s intense love for humanity, her true vision of world peace, her avowed compassion for the needy and, above all, the profound spirituality that she embodies moved Swamiji so deeply that he became a devout follower of Amma.

Ever since, Swamiji has dedicated his life to the cause of the countless noble social welfare activities organised by Amma. He has travelled all over the world conducting Satsangs, Bhajans, meditation programmes and spiritual and personality development camps with an aim to bring about the spiritual upliftment of not just individuals, but entire societies. Through his uplifting discourses, soothing flute meditations, soul-stirring devotional singing and his nurturing presence, Swamiji reaches out to people of all ages – from very young children to seniors, guiding them to remain ever-focused on the transformative journey of spirituality.
