Grow Your Own Garden Club

Grow Your Own Garden Club
Cherry Hills Library - 6901 Barstow NE, 87111
4th Saturday each month at 2:30pm - beginning June 28th
Would you like to increase your self-sufficiency and live more sustainably while growing your own vegetables, herbs and fruit at home? Amma continues to encourage us to garden: "Even if we only have a tiny plot of land, we should try to grow a few vegetables using organic fertilizers."
Come join the newly forming Grow Your Own Garden Club! Each month we will explore new topics on different approaches to backyard gardening in our changing climate and high desert homeland, and we will exchange ideas, share progress and questions on gardening projects and support each other in our attempts at urban homesteading where we grow and utilize our harvests.
No registration is required, but all participants will need to have space for growing (even if it's small or just in containers).
For more information contact Nancy Griffiths at ngriffiths@cabq.gov or call 505-857-8321.

The daily ashram routine includes archana (chanting of the 108 Names of Amma and the 1000 Names of the Divine Mother), meditation, seva (volunteering or service) and bhajans (devotional singing).
The Santa Fe Satsang meets on Saturday nights, from at 5:00pm-7:30pm in the temple. Arrive by 4:15pm if you would like to chant the 1000 names of Sri Lalita before Satsang begins.
There are many ways to volunteer through the Amma Center of NM. Please email or call us at 505-982-9801 to learn how.
