May 9: Cookies for St Felix Centre

Delivering cookies with love to St Felix Centre

On May 9, the Amma Canada bakers tested out two new cookie recipes, and found one that is healthier and more economical, without sacrificing deliciousness. A special visit from long-time Amma Canada volunteer, Eric, his housemates, and group home staff member, Kelsey, really brightened the day. Together the team baked approximately twelve dozen oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and then enjoyed a delicious lunch together. These cookies were delivered on the same day to St Felix Centre's 24h homeless respite program for distribution to their guests. This program provides food, shelter, and other resources for unhoused people in downtown Toronto. A big thank you to everyone who participated!

This seva is a part of Amma Canada's quarterly holiday cookie bake, that provides treats for one of Toronto’s homeless shelters. Devotees hope to share a little of Amma’s love with the cookie prasad they come together to prepare and deliver.
