Last week for summer pears

The Farm Team took a break last Saturday, allowing us to enjoy Swami Dayamritananda’s uplifting satsang. Now we are ready to get back to work this Saturday, September 13!

Our seva this Saturday includes:

. Picking apples from a couple of trees
. Digging out tree stumps to make room for peach trees
. Harvesting kale, Malabar spinach, and tomatoes from our veggie garden
. Assisting with the sales table setup and produce sales

Our veggie sales table will be open for veggie, apple and pear sales starting at 11 AM. This will be the last week for summer pears! Get them while you can! Farm seva will be from 11 AM to 4 PM.  Please give us a helping hand at any time. Your help is always welcome. A light lunch will be served. Please let Pauline know by Friday noon if you would like to join us for lunch on Saturday.

Sundance Commons is hosting a free fruit harvesting workshop in the Amma Canada orchard on Sunday, October 5 from 10 AM - 12 PM. All are welcome to join the workshop, and learn when and how to harvest cherries, peaches, apples and pears, as well as how to handle and store them. The workshop will be followed by a free lunch, and more apple harvesting until 3 PM. If you would like to join, kindly fill out this Google Form. Carpooling will be arranged. If you have any questions, please ask Brian or email ammatoronto@ammagroups.org.
