Farming Seva - Aug 23

First apples of the season

Heartfelt thanks to those who helped out last weekend weeding and harvesting. The Farm Team harvested kale, lauki, tomatoes, cabbage and Malabar spinach along with 250 lbs of Pristine and Yellow Transparent apples!

Seva continues this Saturday, August 23 in the garden and orchard. We expect the summer pears will be ready to harvest this weekend. Our apple trees are taking a beating due to the spread of apple scab throughout the orchard. This Saturday, weather permitting, we will focus on harvesting pears and pruning the apple trees in the orchard, weeding and harvesting in the veggie garden. Seva begins at 10 AM and continues until 4 PM. Feel free to join in for an hour or two. Please contact Pauline if you will be joining for lunch.
