Heal the Bay's beach clean-up day, in Santa Monica

AYUDH AND GREEN FRIENDS AT SANTA MONICA BEACH APRIL 18TH

AYUDH and GreenFriends collaborated to participate in Heal the Bay's beach clean-up day, at Santa Monica Beach, the largest such event in Los Angeles County.

Heal the Bay has been protecting coastal waters and watersheds in the greater Los Angeles area for the past forty years through scientific research, policy advocacy, and public outreach campaigns.

AYUDH and GreenFriends' collaboration on the beach clean-up day was a precious opportunity for many generations of Amma's children to gather and offer seva. They voiced and listened to eachothers' life-experiences, concerns, dreams, and spiritual-reflections, while serving Nature and the broader community of Nature-loving citizens. Their diverse perspectives showcased the compassionate inspiration Amma has given to Her children, and the diverse ways they are sincerly working to express Her inspiration in the world.

Under the guidance of Amma, AYUDH is focused on creating trust and peace by socially engaging youth while maintaining awareness of core values. AYUDH is the international youth wing of Embracing the World, a global network of charitable activities created by Amma. AYUDH – Amrita Youth for Unity, Diversity, and Harmony.

AYUDH was founded in 2001 and is active in Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and Australia. It is open for youth between 15 to 30 years of age from all religions, social and cultural backgrounds.
