The Spirit of Joyful Service on Tour with Swamiji

Amma’s senior-most disciple, Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri, affectionately known as “Swamiji,” is now at the tail end of his North American tour. The tour brings communities together through spiritual talks, devotional music, interactive Q&A, and meditation. The love and devotion of the volunteers is the crowning jewel of these divine programs.  Every helper is smiling, welcoming, and quick to fulfill any need that arises, motivated entirely by love. Swamiji leads by example, selflessly giving his time and energy to every single person present. Following his talks and songs, he stays to greet everyone individually with a sweet and a warm smile. This environment of joyful service is the backbone of Amma’s teachings and a direct reflection of her life of selfless giving.

In his talks, Swamiji often reiterated the importance of performing every action with awareness, emphasizing that mindful action breaks the chain of karma. He noted that observing Amma clearly illustrates this principle: when we are filled with love, our actions naturally flow with awareness. Amma’s darshan unfolds with complete ease, yet she never misses a single detail—from her warm, motherly hug to handing a blessed sweet to every person. As Swamiji pointed out, for Amma, giving darshan every day feels completely new, filled always with unfading enthusiasm and love.

Amma says, “ The spiritual path begins and ends with compassion.”

This is truly the vibe at every program with Swamiji—people are ever-eager to help, and the atmosphere is full of kindred spirits. Make sure not to miss Swamiji’s tour, which will be coming to a close in just a few days.

If you would like to make it to one of the few remaining programs, don't miss out on these final dates.
