The Los Angeles retreat left a lasting impression on participants, who spoke of feeling renewed, inspired, and deeply connected. Here are a few voices from the gathering:

“This was my very first retreat with Swamiji. I cannot express how much it helped me feel grounded in my life again—it was truly magical. Quite amazing!” – Ms. Chetana

“I am grateful for the time spent with Swamiji, immersing in spiritual stories and bhajans. It has helped me feel a deep connection with the Divine.” – Mr. Anand

“I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the teachings of non-attachment. At this late stage in my life, it is both inspiring and uplifting!” – Ms. Sharma

The retreat was more than an event—it was a soulful journey that touched lives and strengthened bonds with the timeless wisdom of spirituality.

Honoring a Special Guest

Los Angeles program was graced by a very special guest—Redondo Beach Fire Department Division Chief Mr. Isaac Yang, who has dedicated 23 years of service to the community. The audience welcomed him warmly with a heartfelt round of applause.

Chief Yang grew up in Culver City and has proudly called the South Bay home for more than three decades. Today, he lives in Torrance with his wife and their two teenage children, deeply rooted in the very community he serves.

As the administrator for the Fire Department’s Emergency Medical Services program and leader of the A-Shift platoon, Chief Yang’s role extends far beyond emergency response. He is a bridge-builder, forging strong partnerships with local hospitals, the Redondo Beach School District, the Beach Cities Health District, senior living facilities, and neighborhood health clinics. His efforts also include close collaboration with neighboring fire departments, the Redondo Beach Police Department, and Community Services.

Through these collaborations, he has championed programs that not only enhance safety but also bring people together, provide vital resources, and ensure that the community feels supported in both daily life and moments of crisis.

We take this moment to recognize and honor Chief Yang for his unwavering dedication, compassion, and integrity. His tireless service stands as an inspiring example of what it means to serve with heart, and his impact has touched countless lives throughout the Redondo Beach community.

Closing Reflections

The retreat came to a gentle close after a day filled with inspiring spiritual talks, deep contemplations, and engaging Q&A sessions, where Swamiji and his brother disciple Swamis thoughtfully responded to questions from the audience. The evening shifted into a lighter, joy-filled atmosphere with uplifting activities such as “Recognizing a Bhajan Tune” and other playful games. Laughter, heartfelt singing, and the collective offering of world peace prayers created a beautiful sense of unity—leaving everyone with a deep sense of peace and joy to carry home.
