IAM-35 Meditation Initiation Course - Bri.Rema Devi

Jan 25, 2020 9:00am to Jan 26, 2020 3:30pm (ended)

Saturday, January 25, 9 am - 3 pm
Sunday, January 26, 9 am - 3 pm

Location : Amrita Hall

This special two-day initiation course will be led by one of Amma’s senior monastic disciples in North America, Brahmacharini Rema Devi. It provides an opportunity for serious seekers to receive initiation into Amma’s original Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique, the IAM-35®, the 35-minute version.

Only one who is in total control of their mind can help others to regain control of theirs. This powerful meditation practice emanated from Amma, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi, through her compassionate meditations on humanity caught up in the seemingly chaotic and fast pace of modern life.  It is a balm to the ever active mind striving for peace, clarity, and mindfulness.

The course is free, but a $15 donation is requested to cover the costs. Lunch is available on each day for an additional $7 ($14 for 2 lunches) - cash payment only.

The IAM course will begin on Saturday morning with a Ganapathi Homa at 7 am (a sacred fire ceremony for removing obstacles), performed by Bri. Rema Devi. All are welcome to attend this homa even if you are not attending the meditation course.
Registration for personal intentions can be done here until January 24, 5 pm -  Ganapathi Homa >>
Registrations are also accepted at MA Center on Saturdays, January 11 and 18, after the evening program - Cash or Check only.

Sunday, January 26, IAM-35 Refresher, 9:30am - 1 pm
Those who have previously completed the full IAM-35® course are welcome to join the class for a refresher to review practice. No registration is required for the refresher.

The next IAM-35®, Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique Refresher will be offered on Saturday, February 15th.
