Deepavali and Lakshmi Puja

We will be celebrating the Festival of Lights and Sri Lakshmi Puja (The Goddess of wealth) on Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at the MA Center. All are welcome.

The festival of lights is called Diwali or Deepavali. Light, being symbol of hope and positive energy, indicates the victory of good over evil. Learn more about the significance of Diwali.

 

 

Shri Lakshmi is the Goddess of material as well as divine/spiritual wealth. To understand the symbolism of her form you may visit here.

Program Schedule

  • 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Lalitha Sahasranamam and Ayi Giri Nandini
  • 5:00 – 5:15 pm – chai break
  • 5:30 pm – 108 Names of Amma
  • 5:30 pm – Ashta Lakshmi puja
  • 6:15 pm – Ashta Lakshmi Arathi
  • 6:30 pm – bhajans
  • 7:30 pm – Amma arathi
  • 7:45 pm – dinner
