The Significance Of Ganesh Chaturthi Ganesha could be considered as the most endearing form of all Hindu deities, and his birthday, Ganesh Chaturthi, is celebrated with devotion and delight. Ganesha is considered to be the remover of obstacles and bringer of good fortune and is prayed to at the beginning of any undertaking. This is why big pujas begin with the Maha Ganapathy homa, and you may have noticed that Amma's evening bhajans always begin with a Ganesha bhajan.   Beneath the aspect of delight and celebration, these festivals hold an underlying spiritual message and symbolism. The story of Ganesha's manifestation holds the essence of the eternal truth: his form emerged out of the divine from his mother, Parvathi. Ganesha's Birthday is celebrated as Ganesh Chaturthi.   We ought to bear in mind our formless reality. This is depicted in the puja that is carried out to the form of Ganesha, which ends with dissolving the form in water.
