About Srimad Bhagavatam:

Śrīmad Bhāgavatam or Bhāgavata, is one of the eighteen great Puranas (Mahapuranas) of Sanatana Dharma. The Srimad Bhagavatam was written by Bhagawan Vyasa, the compiler of the Vedas. It promotes Bhakti (devotion) integrating themes from the Advaita (monism) philosophy of Adi Shankara, Vishishtadvaita (qualified monism) of Ramanujacharya and Dvaita (dualism) of Madhvacharya. After compiling the Vedas, Bhagawan Vyasa was inspired to present their profound essence in the form of Srimad Bhagavatam. This text is considered to be the most complete exposition of Vedic knowledge, covering a wide range of topics including cosmology, nature, origin of the universe, astronomy, genealogy, geography, legend, music, dance, yoga and culture.

While this class will be broacast from MA Center Chicago, it's an MA Center San Ramon program. Please contact the MA Center San Ramon Events Team if you have any questions: macsrevents@ammagroups.org
