Celebrating Amma's Star -Kartika- Birthday at MACC

According to the Indian (Hindu) tradition, birthdays are observed on the anniversary of the astrological star under which one was born. In tune with this tradition, Amritapuri celebrates Amma's birth star -Kartika- day on October 9.

MACC will celebrate this event on Saturday, October 7, through the early hours on Sunday, October 8.

6:00 am  - 6:00 pm |The day will start with a morning-to-evening continuous chanting of Archana.
6:00  - 6:30 pm | "Commemorative Tree Planting" - Two saplings blessed by Amma in June - led by Ronji
6:30 - 7:15 pm - Address by Ron Gottsegen, President, MA Centers
7:15 - 8:30 pm | Amma Bhajans
8:30  - 8:45 pm | Arati and Meditation
8:45  - 9:00 pm | Prasadam distribution
9:00  - 10:00 pm | Dinner
10:00 pm  - 1:00 am (Sunday) | Live screening of Guru Pada Puja, Amma's Birthday Message, and Bhajans from Amritapuri
