Music Therapy & Valentines Cards for Bennett Centre Seniors

Music therapy and handmade Valentines cards to lift the seniors' spirits
This winter, Amma Canada organized two initiatives to lift the spirits of over 70 seniors living Bennett Centre LTC in Georgetown: During November and December 2025, Amma Canada funded a music therapist to provide group and individual sessions designed to bring joy, assist with memory recall, and nurture singing and musical talents. The staff observed noticeable improvements in the seniors' cognition and mood while participating in this fun activity.
On Saturday, February 14, Amma Canada's Volunteer Coordinator delivered a batch of over 80 handmade Valentine's Day cards crafted over the last year, by Satsang youth and classmates, including a beautiful, big card by a Grade 4 class, to show some love for the Bennett Centre seniors and staff. The Bennett staff are very grateful for the support of Amma Canada to enhance the quality of life of residents in their care.
