Holiday Charitable Initiatives 2025

This Holiday Season, Help Serve the Less Fortunate
Every year during the holiday season, Amma's Toronto Satsang comes together in the spirit of giving to support those in our local community who are struggling. We have many charitable activities for you to join in the spirit of Amma with Her endless compassion and love, to reach out to those in need. Would you like be an Amma helper in this season of giving, as we support families, children, and seniors in need of some holiday cheer?
Ways to Participate:
- Volunteer as an Amma Elf by shopping for selected gift items from a designated Holiday Wish list: Links2Care supports local families with children and teens, while Bennett Centre supports vulnerable seniors living at their long-term care facility. The agencies will pass the Holiday Wish lists of these families and seniors to Amma Canada's Charitable Coordinators soon! Instructions for purchases, lists of stores, reimbursement details, and shopping return deadlines will all be provided. Please let us know which agency you wish to shop for and we can assign you a senior or youth in need.
- Craft a Festive Holiday Card for a Senior: Amrita Bala Kendra children, AYUDH youth and Toronto Satsang members are all invited craft festive Holiday cards to send messages of cheer, hope, and warmth to seniors living at Bennett Centre in long-term care facility.
- Donate Non-Perishable Food: Drop off a non-perishable food item for local food banks in the donation box at the back of the hall at the Amma Canada Centre in Georgetown. A list of most needed items is posted on the box.
If you wish to participate or if you have questions about any of the listed sevas, please contact Pauline, Mahita or Nandini Melody, or email ammatoronto@ammagroups.org. We can all help spread Amma’s message of love and joy by serving the community over the holiday season. More information coming soon!
