Farming Seva - May 24

A great start to the season
A big thanks to everyone who turned out on Victoria Day weekend to help in the veggie garden! We had a great turnout and got the job done. Seva at the farm continues this Saturday, May 24 from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, weather permitting. The veggie garden has been planted. Watering and weeding are now the needs of the hour. Fortunately, most of the veggie garden is covered with landscaping fabric, which will greatly reduce weeding. The beets, leeks, and onions were not covered, and will require some attention on Saturday, as will the flower gardens. In the orchard, we will continue to remove tree stumps and apply wood chips around the base of the trees. And of course, we have a lot of grass that needs trimming! The Farm Team is also seeking volunteers to water the veggie garden during the week. If you are able to help, please contact Mohan Sookdeo.
Hoping to see you all on Saturday. A light lunch will be provided. Please let Pauline know if you will be joining for lunch. If you have questions, please contact Brian or email ammatoronto@ammagroups.org
