Farming Seva - June 28

Rose & Arjun spreading wood chips in the flower garden

Welcome Sevaks! Welcome Summer!

A lot of activity is happening this weekend! The Farm Team hopes you will be able to join us and give us a helping hand. It looks like some our cherries are ready to be picked, and our first crop of kale and Swiss chard is ready to be harvested. In addition to this, our regular Farm sevas continue:

Pauline watering veggie garden square

  • Weeding in the veggie and flower gardens
  • Removing stumps from the orchard
  • Removing burdock around the wood chip piles
  • Watering the veggie garden

On Saturday, June 28, work begins at 10 AM and continues until 4 PM. All are welcome to drop in for any amount of time during this period and give us a helping hand. A light lunch will be served. To assist with the lunch prep, kindly let Pauline know by Friday noon if you will be present for lunch.

The Farm Team is looking for volunteers to assist with the veggie and flower gardens during the week. For more details, please contact Mohan Sookdeo or Brian Maskwa or email ammatoronto@ammagroups.orgStay cool and hydrated!
