Chilli Makers & Servers Needed!

Make Vegetarian Chilli & Serve it to Georgetown Bread Basket Clients
“Love the poor wholeheartedly. Go to their level. Believe that it is your dharma - your duty - to love and serve the poor.” ~ Amma
Since 2009, Amma Canada volunteers have served those in need in the Halton Hills community by preparing seven crockpots of delicious, takeout vegetarian chilli, and serving it to clients of Georgetown Bread Basket. Our volunteers have recently been featured in the North American Mother’s Kitchen newsletter.
Please join us as we restart our monthly chilli cooking and serving for 2025! Amma Canada's charitable coordinators are in urgent need of two volunteer servers to collect the seven crockpots of chilli from the Amma Canada Centre on Saturday March 29 at 8:00 AM, drive them over to Georgetown Bread Basket, and serve them to clients. After all the chilli is served, the servers will need to return the empty crock pots to the Amma Canada Centre, clean them, and store them, finishing around noon. There is also a great need for 6-8 volunteer choppers to cut up veggies for the chilli at the Amma Canada Centre on Friday March 28 from 6:00-9:00 PM. Training will be provided. All are welcome!
