Onam Celebration, Seva Saturday, Guided IAM-35 Meditation & Satsang Program

Saturday Seva (Selfless Service): 10:00 am – 4:30 pm, Contact: Seva Activities include: sorting donated medical supplies for India, helping in the bookstore, gardening & orchard work, and many special projects. Lunch is provided. Come for any part or all of the day! 

Guided IAM-35 Meditation: 3:00 - 4:00 pm, Main House Puja Room, Only for those who have already taken the full IAM course.

Onam Festival and Satsang Program, Amrita Hall, Onam is a Kerala Harvest Festival

1:00 PM: Pookalam: Amrita Hall Porch, Onam is the harvest festival of Kerala. Pookalam is a flower carpet traditionally made on the porch with fresh flowers, on Onam day. All hands are welcome to help with the Pookalam creation!
4:45 PM: Archana: Chanting of the Guru Stotrum and the Sri Lalitha Sahasranama, 1,000 Names of the Divine Mother, 
5:45 PM:  Chanting 108 Lokah Mantras and 108 Names of Amma
6:15 PM:  Onam Satsang by Dr. Iyer

8:00 PM: Onam Sadhya - Traditonal Kerala Dinner

All are welcome to join the ashram residents for daily spiritual practices in the Main House puja room:

Morning Archana

Monday-Saturday: 5 AM
Sunday: 6 AM

Evening Bhajans

Sunday - Friday: 7 PM
If there is no Saturday program in the temple hall, bhajans are in the Main House at 7 PM.

  • Guru Stotram Chanting
  • Bhajans (Devotional singing)
  • Closing prayers and Arati

Directions

The Main House is on the hill above the temple hall. When you arrive at MA Center,  turn right and cross over the small bridge. Use the call box on your left just before the outer gate to communicate that you need the gate opened to drive through. Then follow the road past the temple. The road continues on the right next to the temple gate, then curves left up the hill to the Main House. The puja room is just inside the front door to the house.
