Darren Doherty is internationally recognized as a leader and pioneer in permaculture and regenerative agriculture! The format of this three-day course combines Darren's teaching on each specific topic, with a live walk-through of how to run an effective consultation with real clients.
August 9: Drought-Proofing Land and Farms in California
Darren will use the 350 acres of the MA Center land to show how to determine the most economically viable drought-proofing 'next-steps' that the center can be taken. Often permaculture designers fixate on the big pond or the installations of swales when the best immediate choices for water catchment can be something less dramatic and more effective. We will explore how to choose and present both big picture and immediate strategies to clients to drought-proof their land.

If there is no Saturday program in the temple hall, bhajans are in the Main House at 7 PM.

Directions
The Main House is on the hill above the temple hall. When you arrive at MA Center, turn right and cross over the small bridge. Use the call box on your left just before the outer gate to communicate that you need the gate opened to drive through. Then follow the road past the temple. The road continues on the right next to the temple gate, then curves left up the hill to the Main House. The puja room is just inside the front door to the house.
