Mahalaya Amavasya Homa

Sep 21, 2025 6:00am-8:30am

Location: Amrita Hall Porch

Pujas performed on the day of Mahalaya Amavasya, also called Sarva Pitra Moksha Amavasya, are considered most beneficial for deceased family members and ancestors.
On this day, Pujari Devidas will be conducting a Tila Homa (Vedic fire ceremony) to pay homage to departed souls.

In keeping with Amma’s wish that Homas for her devotees who have passed away be performed periodically, MA Center will make a special sankalpa for them during the Tila Homa.
All are welcome to attend.

You may register for a sankalpa (spiritual resolve) to be made during the homa on your behalf, or for a loved one. Those who register for sankalpa do not need to be present to receive the benefits of the Homa.
HOMAS AVAILABLE ON THIS DAY ARE:
Tila, MahaGanapathy, Ganapathy, Navagraha (all nine planets), and individual planets: Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu
Sankalpa registration will be open until 8 pm Pacific Time on Saturday, September 20th.  Register here
