Krishna Jayanthi and Karthika Puja: in person with virtual option

Every month, a special program is held in honor of Amma’s birthstar, Karthika. This month, Karthika coincides with Krishna Janmashtami, a celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna. A special program will be held at MA Center to celebrate both events on this day. The program will include a talk describing stories of Lord Krishna, Bhajans, and both Karthika and Krishna Pujas.

Schedule:

● Talk: Stories of Lord Krishna
● Karthika Puja including 108 names of Amma
● Krishna Puja including 108 names of Krishna
● Bhajans
● Arati and closing prayers

NOTE: No Saturday Satsang Program on Saturday, August 20 due to Karthika on Krishna Jayanthi program on August 18.

For in-person attendance, please note that we will be observing all Covid-19 protocols specified by the MA Center Board. The health and safety of all who wish to attend the program should remain uppermost in our minds and hearts. Everyone attending should wear properly fitted masks (N/KN95 recommended) and social distancing is required. If you have any symptoms or have been recently exposed to anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19, please do not attend and tune into the livestream option instead.

GUIDELINES AND PRECAUTIONS SPECIFIED BY THE MA CENTER BOARD

The MA Center Board has announced that Satsangs may now resume provided they follow the guidelines and precautions below. We must all remember that the health and safety of all who wish to attend satsang should remain uppermost in our minds and hearts.

1.  These protocols were prepared in consultation with medical professionals, together with examination of the CDC guidelines. Satsangs may require stronger guidelines at their discretion in addition to adhering to county and local guidelines.

2. If you feel at all sick, have fever, or have been exposed to anyone who tests positive for Covid-19, please do not attend.

3. Everyone must wear their mask at all times. Masks need to be properly fitted over nose and mouth, N/KN 95 or double masking is recommended.

4. Everyone must maintain social distancing, 6 feet apart, except members of the same household.

5. Arati prasad should be individually wrapped and offered at the altar.

6.  Meals, prepared in accordance with current health department guidelines, will be offered in a sealed container.  We encourage you to take meals home. Outdoor seating will be available if you wish to eat on the ashram premises and everyone must maintain proper distancing while eating. Meals cannot be eaten indoors.

Evening Bhajans

Sunday - Friday: 7 PM
If there is no Saturday program in the temple hall, bhajans are in the Main House at 7 PM.

Directions

The Main House is on the hill above the temple hall. When you arrive at MA Center,  turn right and cross over the small bridge. Use the call box on your left just before the outer gate to communicate that you need the gate opened to drive through. Then follow the road past the temple. The road continues on the right next to the temple gate, then curves left up the hill to the Main House. The puja room is just inside the front door to the house.
