Joy of Yoga Camp

In honor of International Yoga day, the MA Center  is hosting a FREE summer day camp for adults and children over age 10 to experience the joy of yoga and practice the Amrita Yoga technique. We'll have special activities and modifications to the yoga practice for kids and seniors. Supervised children's activities will be provided for kids between ages 5 to 9.  

**Please arrive by 9:30 AM to find a place and settle in, so that we can begin the yoga practice promptly at 10 AM

Schedule for the day:

  •  Amrita Yoga practice
  • Guided IAM Meditation practice
  • Lunch & Chai - $8 for adults/$4.50 for kids at the door
  • Nature Walk
  • Activities for kids and adults - craft project, create a yoga pose, etc.
  • Closing reflection and peace prayer

More about International Yoga Day:

On December 11th, 2014, the 193-member United Nations General Assembly established 21st June as the International Day of Yoga with a record 177 co-sponsoring countries. The goal of this day is to promote wider dissemination of information about the benefits of practicing Yoga for the health of the world population. Yoga also brings harmony in all walks of life and thus is known for disease prevention, health promotion and management of many lifestyle-related disorders.

All are welcome to join the ashram residents for daily spiritual practices in the Main House puja room:

Morning Archana

Monday-Saturday: 5 AM
Sunday: 6 AM

Evening Bhajans

Sunday - Friday: 7 PM
If there is no Saturday program in the temple hall, bhajans are in the Main House at 7 PM.

  • Guru Stotram Chanting

Directions

The Main House is on the hill above the temple hall. When you arrive at MA Center,  turn right and cross over the small bridge. Use the call box on your left just before the outer gate to communicate that you need the gate opened to drive through. Then follow the road past the temple. The road continues on the right next to the temple gate, then curves left up the hill to the Main House. The puja room is just inside the front door to the house.
