Amrita Karthika Program: in-person

A monthly birthday is traditionally observed in India based on the moon's position at the time of birth. Karthika is the Nakshatra - star constellation - in which the moon was transiting at the time of Amma's birth. Amma’s Karthika birthstar in the month of Kanni (mid-September to mid-October per the Malayalam Lunar Calendar) is the closest one to Amma’s date of birth and is therefore considered to be Amma's star-birthday, Amrita Karthika.
To honor this auspicious day, a special program will be held in the Main House Puja room on Wednesday, September 30th, starting at 6:30 pm. The program will include a meditative Manasa (mental) Puja, visualization of worship and bhajans (devotional songs).
All are welcome to join us for the program, an RSVP or pre-registration is not required to attend the program.

If there is no Saturday program in the temple hall, bhajans are in the Main House at 7 PM.

Directions
The Main House is on the hill above the temple hall. When you arrive at MA Center, turn right and cross over the small bridge. Use the call box on your left just before the outer gate to communicate that you need the gate opened to drive through. Then follow the road past the temple. The road continues on the right next to the temple gate, then curves left up the hill to the Main House. The puja room is just inside the front door to the house.
