Amma's Birthday Satsang & Celebration with Swamini

We warmly invite you to join us for Amma's 73rd birthday celebration satsang with Swamini on Saturday, September 26th. As per Amma's wish, the theme for this year's birthday celebration is Vishwa Seva Dinam, a Day of Selfless Service. Let us offer Amma the gift she will truly treasure, and let our hands become an expression of Amma's compassion by serving others. The program will start at 9:30 am with tree planting seva (see details below), and we'll have archana every hour on the hour from 11 am to 5pm. The celebrations will also include a silent auction, guru paduka puja, satsang, bhajans, birthday cake, and more. Here's the schedule for Saturday:

9:30AM-1:00PM: Tree Planting
11:00am –5:00pm:  All-day archana in the Satsang Hall
2:00 - 8:00pm - Silent auction (see details here)
5:00 - 5:45pm - Guided meditation and talk by Swamini Ambikamrita Prana
5:45 - 6:15pm - Guru Paduka Puja
6:15 - 7:30pm - Bhajans
7:30-7:45pm - Arati and prasad
7:45-7:50pm - Cake cutting
7:50-9:00pm - Dinner

In celebration of Amma's 73rd birthday, MA Center Chicago has organized the two sevas below under the auspices of this year's Vishwa Seva Dinam, “A Day of Selfless Service,” theme. Please join in whichever calls to you.

Tree Planting Seva

Embracing the World has planted more than six million trees worldwide as a member of the United Nations Billion Tree Campaign. As our offering toward this noble cause, we will plant approximately 30 oak tree saplings on the MACC campus.

When: Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9:30 am until all trees are planted
Where: Meet at the front of the Event Hall
What to bring: Garden gloves, water bottle

Mother's Kitchen

Inspired by Amma's teachings, Mother’s Kitchen groups in North America prepare, cook and serve 150,000 meals for the homeless and hungry each year.
For Amma's birthday, we'll be preparing food in the MACC kitchen and then serve it at a local shelter. If you would like to sign up for this seva, please contact Sangeeta Joshi at sripadajoshi@yahoo.com.

When: Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 8:00 am until 2:00pm
