AYUDH Toronto
AYUDH stands for Amrita Yuva Dharma Dhara — “the youth that perpetuate the wheel of dharma”; in Sanskrit, AYUDH also means peace. AYUDH is a movement of young people (ages 15–30) who want to lead a life based on spiritual values, generating a future of hope, peace and social engagement. AYUDH is active across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa — Toronto is one branch of this global tree.
Our four pillars: social service · green initiatives · personal empowerment · intercultural exchange. AYUDH Toronto takes part in tree-planting drives, park cleanups, clothing drives and much more. In response to Amma’s request to bring reverence for nature into Vishu celebrations, AYUDH grew and distributed over 50 basil seedlings to children at the Vishu satsang.
