70 lbs of non-perishable food delivered to Toronto food banks
In late October 2026, Amma Canada volunteers collected ~70 lbs of slightly past dated but still useable non-perishable food from Georgetown Bread Basket and delivered it to Toronto food banks experiencing high demand. About 30 lbs of rescued food, including pasta, children’s cereal, and canned food, were delivered to Beeton Community Food Bank at St Michaels and All Angels Church in downtown Toronto. Another 40 lbs of food, including canned soup, beans and pasta, were delivered to the ACSA Community Services food bank in Scarborough. ACSA is a high-volume food bank, serving over 700 individuals and families each week, and over 106,000 households in 2025!
