Delivering 245 cookies with love to St Felix Centre
On Oct 31, six happy bakers lovingly made 245 oatmeal raisin chocolate chip cookies in the Amma Canada Centre kitchen, filled with love and laughter. These cookies were delivered on the same day as a Halloween treat for the guests of St Felix Centre's 24h homeless services program. This program provides food, shelter, and other resources for unhoused people in downtown Toronto. While the cookies were in the oven, the bakers did a little pumpkin carving. A big thank you to everyone who participated!
This seva is a part of Amma Canada's quarterly holiday cookie bake, which provides treats for one of Toronto’s homeless shelters. Devotees hope to share a little of Amma’s love with the cookie prasad they come together to prepare and deliver. For more information or to join the next cookie bake (for Christmas in December), please contact Nandini Melody, or email ammatoronto@ammagroups.org
