DIWALI SCHEDULE
10:00 am-10:50 am: We'll chant the 1000 Names of Divine Mother
10:50 am-11:00 am: Enjoy a short Chai break
11:00 am-11:15 am: We'll watch an inspiring video of Amma
11:15 am- 11:25 am: We'll welcome you and share any information that might be useful to you
11:25 am- 11:50 am: Swamiji will lead us in the Manasa Puja and Amma's 108 Names
11:50 am- 12:20 pm: We'll listen to Swamiji's spiritual talk (sarsang)
12:20 pm- 1:20 pm: We'll sing Bhajans, do Arati for Amma, then do our closing prayers
1:20 pm- 1:30 pm: We'll a few final announcements
1:30 pm- 2:30 pm: Delicious Vegetarian Indian lunch!

Diwali, the Festival of Lights!!
Diwali or (Deepavali) which literally means "rows of lamps" is one of the four main festivals of India. It is celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm. The celebration lasts for six days. Goddess Lakshmi Devi (Goddess of Wealth), Lord Rama and Lord Sri Krishna are worshipped during this time.
Spiritual significance of Diwali: Amma says the luminous inner light of the Self is ever shining steadily in the chamber of the heart and that the very goal is to seek that Self. The rows of lamps teach an important lesson of unity. The light that shines forth from the Sun, the moon, the stars, and fire is all the same. To see and recognize that one light, the light of consciousness, which is manifesting and pulsating in and through all of creation is the goal of life. Thus, recognizing all of creation to be an expression of your true Self, spread the light of love and compassion.
