MA Center DC welcomes you to join Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya in Satsang in-person to celebrate Srikrishna Jayanthi - birth of Lord Krishna on Friday, September 4, 6:30pm.
Schedule
- Dinner at 6:30 pm
- Procession around the Ashram at 7:15 pm
- Followed by Satsang, talk, lively Krishna Bhajans and at midnight we will celebrate the birth of baby Krishna
Late night Celebrations
Welcoming Lord Krishna with devotional fervor. The Birth of Lord Krishna is a very special ceremony with Br. Ramanandji reciting the holy Bhagavatam. The idol of baby Krishna is brought and then rocked in a cradle. A popular belief is that any wish made while rocking the cradle is fulfilled on this day. The entire Ashram echoes with the sound of the conch (shankh) and ringing of bells. Devotees pray and welcome the lord with lively bhajans and chants.
Please note Satsang on Saturday, 9/5 is canceled.
