Satsang - Association with Truth

Nov 11, 2017 5:30pm-7:30pm (ended)

Satsang at MA Center Atlanta can be simply described as an active meditation in the form of Bhakti Yoga - union with one's Higher Self through love and devotion. People from literally every major religion, ethnicity, tradition and culture, come together as family to participate in this evening focused on upliftment through music, chanting, spiritual discourse and brief silent meditation.

Sat = Supreme Truth | Sang = Association/Gathering

Though the term Satsang can be interpreted with deeper meanings, it could be simply understood as associating with truth, that truth being the ever-present goodness within all.

Schedule:

5:00pm - 5:30pmLalita Sahasranamam - Chanting 1000 names of the Divine Mother. **This is optional.

5:40 pm to 7:40 pm - Chanting of Amma's 108 Names (10mins), Spiritual Discourse(20mins), Bhajans (devotional songs/music), Arati, Silent Meditation (5min)

7:40 pm - White Flower Meditation ** This is optional.

Satsang is followed by dinner and prasad. The dinner is $5 per person - all proceeds are donated to help support MA Center Atlanta activities and initiatives.

**All are welcome to come participate and/or experience these traditional chants, chanted throughout Mata Amritanandamyi ashrams in India and across the globe, but it is not considered part of the satsang schedule [for those that don't have an hour of chanting high on their priority list :) ].

Useful Definitions:
