Cookie Distribution

Amma Vancouver is excited to announce a new Christmas tradition. As an expression of our love and wish to connect with people who may not have a home and loving family to spend time with this Christmas, we will distribute baked goods to folks in the Downtown Eastside.  Along with the baked treats we will attach a note for each recipient that expresses our wish for them at Christmas and for the New Year. Amma’s example of loving connection in her hugs with each one of us gives us a beautiful base from which to draw and share with others what it means to feel self-worth, love and compassion.

The baking can be savoury or sweet and keep in mind that it should be easy to eat - nothing too chewy, soft is best. As a suggestion, perhaps make baked goods that you remember as your favourites as a child as that will help in the sharing of something truly special. If you need ideas - cookies, shortbread or banana bread would be great.

Drop off points and times:

Please bring your baked gifts to a drop off point (see below) by the evening of December 22 or drop it off on December 23rd before 10 am at Rajeswari's.

Bagging and Distribution:

Bagging starts at 9:00 a.m. on December 23.
