Today, instead of watching a video we will be discussing a passage from the book:

Awaken Children! Volume VII
The section we will be discussing is Chapter 9 - A Stranger to Fix the Mind

This chapter begins with:

"Twenty minutes later Mother came down to the darshan hut and began receiving the devotees. She looked enthusiastic and cheerful, and She was also looking perfectly healthy. 

The Brahmacharins once asked Mother how they were to understand these perplexing moods of Hers, and why She sometimes acted in such seemingly strange ways. 

Mother answered, "It is only according to your strange and noisy mind that Amma is acting strangely. You feel that it is strange because you have certain preconceived ideas about behaviour. You have picked up certain concepts and habits from your own life and believe that certain ways of behaviour are strange and that other ways are normal. Strangeness and normality are nothing but your own concepts, your own personal belief. You want Amma to speak and behave according to the way in which you speak and behave according to the way in which your mind has been trained..."
