Bhajan Evening observing Krishna Jayanti

Join us for the bhajan evening filled with devotional fervor, dedicated lord Krishna, marking the day of his incarnation (actually on Mon, Aug 30). Lord Krishna, the 9th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is considered Jagatguru - a teacher for the whole world - the Bhagavad Gita being the most precious gift that he had given us, through his teachings. 

Schedule

Beginning at 6:30 pm, the evening will consist of brief meditation, chanting of 108 names of Lord Krishna, Bhajans (devotional singing) led by Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya.

A highlight of the evening would be marking Krishna's birth, with the chanting of the verses from Srimad Bhagavatam (scripture relating the life and teachings of Lord Krishna). We will invite baby Krishna into our hearts accompanying the chants from Srimad Bhagavatam with conch, bells, drums etc. - trying to relate to the celebratory mood the demi gods created during Lord Krishna's birth.
