Our current life is beset by a cacophony of alarming and, at times, ominous noise. Cognizant of this scourge, Amma urged her disciples in the USA to conduct sessions of silent meditation.
In sustained silence, our senses become more acute and attuned to see the world around us with greater clarity. In the serene settings of the Ashram, the sustained periods of silence allow us to garner our energy -inner and outer- to calm our nerves and develop a dispassionate perspective on life and its challenges. The sound of silence becomes a harmonious symphony.
This retreat reinforces existing spiritual practices and provides the foundation for a lifetime of meditation practice. Connecting with the sacred and ancient wisdom within ourselves brings meaning to life. Benefits include clarity and strength of mind to achieve your goals, staying centered in an ever-changing world and overcoming stress and tension.
Amma’s simple technique of breath awareness infused with the MA-OM mantras and open observation makes this retreat suitable for all levels of experience in meditation from beginner to advanced. Meditation format alternates between sitting and walking sessions.
