Dec 20th - Karthika Puja 7:30pm - M.A Center Atlanta

A monthly birthday is traditionally observed in India based on the moon's position at the time of birth. The moon returns to this spot in the heavens, approximately every 28 days. Karthika is the Nakshatra - star constellation- in which the moon was transiting at the time of Amma's birth. As such every month on the day of Karthika, we honor Amma's birth with a puja.

Dec 22nd - Ayyappa Puja 11:00am - M.A.Center Atlanta

Ayyappa Puja Significance:

Lord Ayyappa is a symbol of religious unity and communal harmony.
He is the presiding deity of Sabarimala temple. He came down to earth to free his devotees from the clutches of demon Mahishi. Lord Ayyappa enshrined in the Sabarimala temple combines both these aspects of Brahman. In the Puranic lore, as usual, this fact is presented in an interesting and symbolic story form as Sri Ayyappa represents both Vishnu and Shiva in one Divinity, He is worshipped both as Protector and Deliverer. Program will include the following :

Amma's 108 names
Ayyappa Abhishekam
Ayyappa Kavacham
Padi Pattu
Ayyappa Namaskaram
Harivarasanam
Amma Arati

Ramanand directs the Amma's organizations and its activities in the eastern US and Canada. He travels around the US and Canada conducting satsangs in various cities, delivering talks at Universities, to share Amma's message of selfless service and love. He has written and composed many devotional songs (bhajans) and his melodious voice can often be heard alongside Amma’s during many bhajans. One can feel the divine grace flow through his soulful singing. Br.
