Navaratri & Vijayadashami Observance with Swamiji

Sep 22, 2025 7:00pm to Sep 30, 2025 9:00pm

Location: Amrita Hall

Daily 7 PM to 9 PM
Oct 1 (Vijayadashami): 8 AM - 9:30 AM

Navaratri, or Nine days of the Devi, and Vijayadashami will be celebrated from Monday, September 22  through Wednesday, October 1.  Each night, a puja  ceremony will be conducted by a devotee, with Swami Dayamritananda Puri leading the chanting and bhajans most nights. Swamiji will perform the puja on Saturday, September 27th.

The word Navaratri means 'nine nights' in Sanskrit. During these nine nights and ten days, three days each are devoted to honoring the different forms of the divine mother, Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. Vijayadashami day is traditionally an auspicious time for starting new ventures. Join us in celebrating Navaratri each night, with special programs dedicated to each form of the Divine Mother. All are welcome to join.

A pre-registration or RSVP is not required to attend.

“Group chanting and prayer is very powerful. It can change anything. The lost harmony of the human mind can be restored only through a selfless attitude supported by prayer, meditation and chanting of mantras.” – Amma
