To honor Ramayana Masam, a Month of Devotion to Lord Rama, there will be a reading each morning following archana from a chapter of the book "Ramayana Smriti," Amma's commentary on the Ramayana, followed by a group discussion.
More about Ramayana Masam:
In Kerala, the month of Karkidakam (July–August) is observed as Ramayana Masam, a time for daily recitation of the Adhyatma Ramayanam.
As monsoon rains slow life down, people turn inward—focusing on prayer, discipline, and spiritual reflection. Temples hold special pujas, and homes echo with the sacred verses of Lord Rama’s story.
More than a ritual, it’s a journey of inner purification, helping devotees renew both body and spirit.
Above all, it’s a month to live with devotion, simplicity, and surrender—just like Lord Rama himself."
Also to honor Ramayana Masam:
Beginning Tuesday, July 22, we will be showing episodes of the very popular modern Ramayana videos at MA Center Iowa. This event will be held every Tuesday evening at 6pm until we complete the series (at least one year!)
