Virtual Navaratri Celebration with Swami Dayamritananda Puri

Virtual Navaratri Celebration with Swami Dayamritananda Puri
Oct 6, 2021 6:00pm to Oct 14, 2021 9:00pm MDT
'Navartri means 'nine nights' - the prayers, chanting, and meditation performed during Navaratri connect us with our spirit. Getting in touch with the spirit invokes positive qualities within us and destroys laziness, pride, obsession, cravings, and ignorance. During this period Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati are worshipped as three different manifestations of Shakti, or cosmic energy. This period of austerity ends on Vijayadashami, the day of beginnings. Read more about the meaning of Navaratri.
The Navaratri celebration at MA Center will dedicate three evenings to each of the manifestations of Devi (Shakti).
October 6-8 for Durga Devi.
October 9-11 for Lakshmi Devi
October 12-14 to Saraswati Devi. The programs will be live streamed on the MA Center San Ramon YouTube channel.
Swami Dayamritananda Puri will lead the prayers and bhajans. The daily pujas will be performed by devotees, except for the last night (Saraswati Puja by Swamini Ambikamrita Prana). On the first and final nights, formal Vedic Pujas will be performed as part of the programs. These are open to all to attend. Registration for sankalpa, (special intention) is available.
