Welcome to the San Jose Satsang

Our South Bay satsang gathers for devotional singing and a children's program, and runs one of the most active Mother's Kitchen efforts in the region — cooking for shelters and carrying meals and supplies to those living on the streets of San Jose.

Whether you have known Amma for years or are simply curious, all are warmly welcome to join us.

When we dedicate ourselves solely to the well-being of others, it is our own mind that becomes pure. When you give your friend a bouquet of flowers, you are the one who first enjoys their beauty and fragrance. In the same way, you can derive happiness from selfless acts.

— Amma

Amma encourages devotees to gather regularly, whether weekly at a home or a hall, to sing, meditate, and pray together, and then to share a meal as a spiritual family. It is an atmosphere that steadies the mind, uplifts everyone present, and quietly shapes the children who grow up in it.

Satsang Schedule

Monthly

We gather regularly for devotional singing in San Jose, Santa Clara, and Campbell, and hold a children's Amrita Bala Kendra in Sunnyvale. Please email us for the current times and places. All are warmly welcome.

Mother's Kitchen

We cook nutritious vegetarian meals for the Family Supportive Housing shelter (monthly, weekend afternoons), prepare sandwiches for St. Joseph's Cathedral downtown, and cook for a local family shelter — food made with love and care.

Serving Our Unhoused Neighbors

Every Thursday, our devotees carry vegetarian meals and supplies — clothing, tents, sleeping bags, and tarps — to homeless encampments in downtown San Jose. There is always room for another willing hand.

Seva
Children, never waste an opportunity to serve. The entire world looks up to those who have the heart to do selfless service.
