SATSANG

Welcome to the Sacramento Satsang

Our satsang gathers once a month to chant Amma's names, watch and reflect on her teachings, sing bhajans, and meditate, sharing a vegetarian potluck together, and offers Integrated Amrita Meditation courses through the year.

Whether you have known Amma for years or are simply curious, all are warmly welcome to join us.

When we dedicate ourselves solely to the well-being of others, it is our own mind that becomes pure. When you give your friend a bouquet of flowers, you are the one who first enjoys their beauty and fragrance. In the same way, you can derive happiness from selfless acts.

— Amma

Amma encourages devotees to gather regularly, whether weekly at a home or a hall, to sing, meditate, and pray together, and then to share a meal as a spiritual family. It is an atmosphere that steadies the mind, uplifts everyone present, and quietly shapes the children who grow up in it.

Satsang Schedule

Monthly

We meet on the third Sunday of each month, 3:00–5:00 PM, in coordinators' homes: chanting the 108 Names of Amma, a teaching or video, devotional songs, closing prayers, and a vegetarian potluck. All are warmly welcome.

IAM Meditation

Twice a year, in January and August, we offer the Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique® (IAM) — a simple daily practice of gentle yoga, pranayama, and meditation. Write to us to learn it.

Meditation
Children, never waste an opportunity to serve. The entire world looks up to those who have the heart to do selfless service.
